GAME ARTWORK GUIDE

Prepare artwork for a specific job

Use this workspace for individual game images rather than a complete skin or theme. Submit your original design and the finished image together—2 files are required.

Tell the team what the artwork is for

Give the project a clear name. In its description, explain the intended screen or feature, where the image should appear, and whether it is a background, frame, icon or cutout. State its intended pixel size and any clear area needed for text or controls.

A useful brief might read: “Reward badge for the results screen; 512 × 512 pixels; transparent outside the badge; keep the center clear for the reward number.” This is an example brief, not a required image size.

If you are creating a whole worm or an entire menu-and-arena appearance, use the Skin guide or Theme guide so all required parts stay together.

Keep the reference and final image together

Upload limits are ceilings, not target file sizes. Export at the resolution your design needs. Existing example sizes are references, not required sizes.

Original design

Required

original.png · PNG, JPEG or WebP

The concept or reference that explains the design. Include the full composition.

Game artwork

Required

artwork.png · PNG

The finished image at its intended size. Keep cutouts transparent and make sure the file contains visible artwork.

Coin food-points symbol artwork. Use these images to understand the format and views, then create your own design. Select an image to inspect it at full size.

A small transparent game image. Your artwork can have a different purpose and shape.

Export at the intended dimensions

  • Keep a working copy in your art editor. Upload raster images, not layered project files, vector files or a ZIP.
  • Export the final image as PNG. There is no single required aspect ratio or universal canvas size for this workspace; use dimensions appropriate to the brief and within the limits above.
  • Use a real transparent background for cutouts and frames. Check the outside edge on both light and dark backgrounds for halos, clipped tips and stray pixels.
  • Check backgrounds at the size they will be used. Keep important text/control areas readable, and mention any labels that should be supplied by the game instead of painted into the image.
  • Make sure the final image contains visible artwork. An empty transparent PNG is rejected. If the finished image is also your original design, you may upload it in both roles.

Save, upload, submit

  1. Open Game artwork, choose New artwork, enter the name and brief, and save the draft.
  2. Choose Original design and upload the reference. Then choose Game artwork and upload the finished PNG.
  3. Check both previews. To replace a file, upload again to the same artwork type. Save changes to the name or brief before submitting.
  4. Submit when both required files are ready. Review feedback stays with this project; requested changes allow you to edit and resubmit.

Approval moves the work into the artwork library as an unpublished draft. The team publishes the finished image separately. Publication by itself does not assign the image to a game feature; your brief tells the team where it belongs.
